2013-2018 - At my time at OSU I have had the opportunity to take courses that have helped build and grow my talents and skills in the design and fashion industry, here I have displayed some of the work that I have accomplished using all of the tools and programs through the design program at OSU.

DHE 161 - Design Explorations

Introduction to principles and theories of design through iterative development and making of project work. Topics include basic design terminology, design principles, and materiality. 

 

Final Project: 

We had to create three patterns, one pattern with a color shift, one pattern using scale, and one pattern using orientation for the pattern. Here is my final result:

DHE 121 - Computer Design For Apparel

Instruction in drawing, editing, and layout techniques using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

 

Final Project: 

As our final project we had to create a cover for our class binder. Our task was to make a tutorial for the cover to be recreated. The guidlines for the project was to use five things from photoshop and five things from illustrator. Here is my final tutorial:

DHE 370 - Textile and Apparel Market Analysis

Organization, operation, and merchandising activities of the domestic textile and apparel industries. Analysis of the marketing process and the product/service mix of textile and apparel manufacturers.

 

Final Project: 

The objective is to write a well-researched marketing plan for an original clothing or interiors direct market (or lifestyle) brand debuting its inaugural line for Fall/Winter 2016. Identifying your brand’s mission and target market, information about a competitor’s current marketing mix analysis, and conclusive strategic plans for the brand’s marketing mix based on documented research analysis of external/internal environmental influences and info acquired about your competitor. Here is my final result:

DHE 399 - Advanced Computer Design

Advance instruction in digital design using Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop.

Technical Drawings: 

The objective was to use Illustrator to create technical drawings of the Lateral, Medial, and sole of a Keen shoe. Here is my final result:

Photoshop rendering of a technical drawings: 

The objective was to use photoshop to create a photoshop rendering of one of the technical flats of a Keen shoe. Here is my final result:

Final Project: 

The objective is to create two new footwear designs for KEEN Footwear to pitch to the head desinger of KEEN. We had to create a rouph draft, concept sketches and consumer profile, create technical drawings for the final designs, and do photoshop renderings for both shoes. Here is my final result:

DHE 321 - Technical Drawing, Illustration, and Fashion Design

Techniques in technical drawing, fashion illustration, and portfolio development; use of computer-aided design applications in the design of apparel.

 

OSU Cycling Kit: 

To design the OSU 2018 cycling club kit, be creative, practice merging fashion with function and practice creating design mood boards in Photoshop. They need a team jersey and an aero race bib.

DSGN 328 - Digital Design for Apparel

Computer-aided flat pattern, grading and marker techniques using industry relevant pattern development software. 

 

Browzwear and Optitex: 

We worked on importing our paper patterns into Browzwear and then importing them into Optitex to get points of measure and walk our patterns to see if they would sew. We then imported our patterns back into Browzwear and played around with making variations of our original patterns.

In this project, I made high waisted bikini bottoms that I changed into two other variations adding two different tops to go with it in Browzwear.
